Iain Myrans: Hey Mia, this was my first serious day out with it. I'd done a few shots before but I find they work better when there is a lot of light and it was so cold and cloudy for much of January / February. I have a few other shots posted somewhere back in the archives though of a subway yard and an old smokestack I think. the Lensbaby is fun. I'm going to take a da y when it's warm out and go out with my camera and lensbaby and nothing else to force me to think/learn how to use it better.

Iain Myrans: nope. no movement other people things. This was shot at 1/1600s, it would be hard for anyone/thing to move fast enough to get caught in motion!

I've seen things about these lensbabies and had wondered if they were
a) worth it
b) easy to use
c) gave good results

I wonder how it would work with a macro?

Iain Myrans: I'm not sure. the lensbaby is about a 50mm lens and there is a macro adaptor kit for it. My girlfriend gave me the lensbaby as a birthday/christmas present and I love it, I just havn't made it out much with it. You get great effects using it from high vantage points looking down. They're hard to use and they take lots of practice but they're fun! I have two more lens baby shots coming up int he queue tomorrow and the day after.
