Fountains on University

It's amazing what a little HDR can do. This is a 7-frame High Dynamic Range image that I layered together using a software program called 'Photomatix'. You're looking at Fountains on University Avenue in Toronto. I enjoy these HDR shots on busy strees since I actually like the ghosting effect of the cars -- it provides a sense of motion to the picture. Meanwhile, things that are stationary (like those waiting at the intersection to cross, show up solid. HDR has its place -- it isn't a technique I would always use but it does make for some fun and interesting photos.

Interesting, this clearly shows my monitor at work and at home are different brightnesses... At home this is a smidge too bright, and at work it looks good, since the highlights are not overblown...

Looks good tho, i like the 'darker' version i see at work, you can see more detail.. but yeah, it doesn't look like that in reality, it's kinda grimey really... especially that part right near queen st...
