(Same Text as for Yesterday's Post):
This was my third year out attending Nuit Blache and I have to say that some of the exhibits I saw this year were incredible. I've always been drawn to the lighting exhibits because of my history with, and love for, lighting design.
Toronto's Union Station was perhaps the highlight of my evening. Here is the description of what is going on from the Artist's website:
Sound and Light Installation for Nuit Blanche (Work in Progress), Toronto 2009.
Life-changing upheavals – whether caused by personal, economic or historic events – serve as the backdrop for this intervention in Toronto's historic terminus. The Great Hall of Union Station is the arena for countless stories of last minute escapes, lovers' reunions, missed connections, riding the rails, and uncertain farewells.
I think my love for railways, my love for lighting and my own relationship with Union Stationmade this such a spectacular thing to experience for me.
