Boston Public Library
One of Boston's most famous buildings is its original public library. It is a magnificent building full of many gems. Across the entire front of the building, above its original main entrance, the stone is inscribed with the words:
"THE PUBLIC LIBRARY OF THE CITY OF BOSTON BUILT BY THE PEOPLE AND DEDICATED TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF LEARNING A.D. MDCCCLXXXVIII"
Walking through the doors below the inscription you enter into this beautiful hall.
