Entrance to Trains

Since I've been posting Union Station Photos I thought I'd post this one that I took much earlier in the year at the same time. This is the entrance over the pedestrian bridge to the departures level of the inter-regional concourse at Toronto's Union Station. The crest reads "Industry, Intelligence, Integreity". Interesting for a train station -- I don't suppose anyone knows the history behind it?

This is the original coat of arms of the City, which was replaced after amalgamation with the current, boring looking one reading "Diversity our Strength". The figure on the left represents a Native Canadian while the figure on the right represents Britannia. While it's difficult to see the details I'd say it's showing an early and inaccurate version of the Native Canadian, sporting a head dress which is actually representative of Western Canadian First Nations peoples. Later versions show this figure in more geoculturally appropriate dress.

You can find interesting information on the web if you search "Toronto Coat of Arms" or the motto.
Iain Myrans: Wow, fountain of knowledge. I'm impressed Megan. Thank you!
Nice image.
About the story, try to find out if there is a guide for tourists, they may know.
I just saw that Megan (Meegz) might be a guide smile
