Another photo taken along the Chicago River. The last photo I posted showed the top of these buildings, Marina City Towers. I love the boat slips at the bottom. Like owning a car slip, here you can own both a car and a boat slip!

This reminds me of Paul Bedford's description of the planner's retirement building in the latest Planning Journal. Cool.

Iain Myrans: I never thought of that. It's true though, while it's an old building look how successful it's been! Good architecture + good transportation connectivity (road and transit and water) + commercial + retail all in one = success. (There may even be a hotel in there somewhere)
