On Saturday I was out on Queen Street West taking part in a "Jane's Walk" (named after urbanist and former Toronto Resident the great Jane Jacobs) being hosted by my good friend Michelle. The Contact Photography Festival, a month long photography festival in Toronto started this past weekend and I stopped into the Drake to see what they had on display. As it turns out their exhibit is a night-time video display of photos on the exterior of the building but while I was there I did get a photo of this awesome lamp! I love it, i want one ;)

The Drake Hotel is a really wonderful old hotel that has been completely rennovated. It's in an interesting part of town -- full of artists, arts and local culture.

More details on the Toronto Contact Photography Festival (one of my favourite Toronto events) can be found here.
