Union Light

Leaving the travel photos behind for a post or two...

I snapped this photo in Union Station, Toronto, in the train shed before boarding a Train to Oakville on Friday. I loved the way the intense beams of light were shining down and catching the rail. Union Station's old train sheds are very dark which exagerates the effect of the sunlight. The station is going to have a faceliftin the very near future.

This is really unusual Iain, and a stunning picture.
Fabulous Iaian . There is a famous image of Grand Union station with light shining onto the station in a very similar way.
I'm really envious that you had the opportunity to take a shot like this. richard
lovely atmosphere, Iain. The light is wonderful & the motion adds narrative detail.
