A handheld HDR (3 frames 2 stops apart) taken on the top of the Loblaws parking garage down on Lakeshore/Queens Quay in Toronto looking back at the skyline at sunset. This was the nicest composition I thought, I only wish it had been built with the lamp post to the left a few more feet! It's still fun. I was amazed at how well Photomatix lined up the handheld shots!

Away - I'll be away for the long weekend, back posting on Wednesday I hope.

frak i love this photo.
Iain Myrans: I'm glad Maria! It's one of those ones that turned out and it was a total fluke! I almost didn't take it and then thought to my self 'this might work as an HDR, I may as well give it a try'. Sure enough... Thanks for commenting. It was a really nice surprise
Photomatix does a good job at this. I've also discovered a similar way in photoshop. Quick method.
Create a layer, desaturate, invert, (overlay) then apply gausian blur (start at 250 and drop down, most may be about 80). Give similar but different results as HDR.
