photoblog image IR in Trinity-Bellwoods Park

IR in Trinity-Bellwoods Park

I decided to take my Hoya R72 infrared filter out for a try today. The Live-View on my Olympus E-3 worked brilliantly for focusing with it (since you can't see through the optical viewfinder with an IR filter attached). The swivel-out screen also made shooting form in the grass much easier!

For my first time seroiusly trying the Infrared Filter I was quite happy with some of the results. I found I had to do a lot of bracketting and then select the best ones after doing a bit of post processing.

Superb photograph. I love the perspective from on the ground, at grass level. The whole shot works so well in black & white.

Brilliant, I'm soooo envious of the result. I think IR pictures are quite special.
Iain Myrans: They are a lot of fun Ellie, i highly recommend the investment in an IR filter smile The Hoya R72 seems to work very well on the Olys.
