photoblog image Spring Robin

Spring Robin

I was out two weeks ago with my telephoto lens walking along the nature trails in Toronto in the hopes of seeing a bit of wildlife. This Robin (I think it's a robin?) was the only piece of wildlife I was able to photograph. I saw a huge hawk fly high over the treetops but it came and went too quickly to photograph.

Good capture good looking bird
S/He is a robin but needs to be fattened up. I go to Ontario every year in April (but not this year) and notice how thin the robins are there compared to here.

This is clearly an urban robin who feels the pressure to remain model-thin. I assure you our County robins are quite plump.
