photoblog image Spring Thaw

Spring Thaw

I took this photo while I was out wandering over in the east end of the city because I thought that, in the summer, this house must look absoloutely lovely. We're in the middle of our early-spring thaw when the weather is still too cold for anything to be turning green but warm enough to melt away the snow leaving exposed all of the dead plants and yellow grass of winter and grubby looking sand/salt covered streets. Amidst this mess of grey in the City of Toronto right now this house seemed to stand out as being particularily colourful. I'm going to try to go back later into spring when eveyrthing is in bloom to take another photo of the same place and I'll post it here. I bet with the garden in bloom it will be really nice.

You have more snow than we do this year which is very unusual.
