Out in the Storm

I caught this on the home last night out in the snow. I was so happy to be able to be out with a camera-in-hand during a snowstorm and not have to worry about it getting ruined from the water! And yes, the sanding truck was able to pass safely around the other pedestrian. :)

AND more importantly (because you can take any camera in the snow and it'll be fine tongue ) you have a camera that can shoot at night now! smile

Iain Myrans: Nick, even after being outside for an hour my camera was still soaked. The snow was still melting on it. water was literally dripping off it, the temperature was -1 out so the camera's own heat obviously was enough to make the snow melt. I wouldn't trust any other camera -- even with a sealed mount like my e-330 to survive. the control dials and buttons were oozing water!
Great and impressive shot. Excellent control of the light here. I like the silhouette of the person in the truck's headlights!

Um, safety first, pedestrian! Great shot of the classic winter night in a Canadian city. You're starting to convince me of how much you NEEDED that camera wink.
