photoblog image A Snowy Afternoon on Queen West

A Snowy Afternoon on Queen West

This was taken about a block east of my previous posting on the day of a snow storm here in Toronto.  I thought the store (apparently out of business) called 'STORM' was amusing considering the circumstances. This part of Queen Street West 'Queen West' has become a major retailing strip, the neighourhood slow revitalized after the headquarters of CityTV and MuchMusic was founded at Queen and John Streets. Today there is much speculation that the CityTV & Much headquarters will be moving following the company's division and sale to two big Canadian media firms (CTV and Rogers Communications). Hopefully it won't hurt the revitalized neighborhood's too much as it has become quite an interesting place to visit.

You can see a photo of the City/MuchMusic building here (an old post of mine): click me.

Wow, that's sharp, and awfully cold. Brrr.
It's far too long since I swung by your blog - that's my misfortune.

You continue to post some very fine images of your locality, as here, which I find very helpful when trying to visualise an area.
