Yikes, that Overlay effect is in poor taste, especially here.
Iain Myrans: this is not a constructive comment. Actually this comment is pure crap. I was going to just delete it but actually it is such a weak comment I thought I'd leave it to laugh at. Especially since you don't share a photoblog link, or even suggest why you say 'in poor taste, especially here.' If you want to make construcive comments please do so, you're the only person who has ever left me a totally useless comment. Get lost. You're not welcome here unless you want to be constructive.

Lol. That comment is pretty funny, considering I was opening up the comments to ask for more info on how you achieved that effect. Is it in fact an overlay? I would love to learn more. I think it works well here, creating a kind of dreamy effect.
Iain Myrans: Hi Craig,
Yes. I'll try to track down the details as to how I made it. I got the idea from a magazine article in "Digital Photographer" (UK) magazine. Either two or three issues back now, I believe it was. They had a feature on creating 'impressionistic' fine-art photography.
This looks like you have used a very gentle Orton effect on this Ian. Whatever it is it has produced a nice dreamy image
Do I like this sort of thing? Er, see here: http://chunter.shutterchance.com/photoblog/Palladian_Bridge,_Stourhead_/
which I think confirms you're a man after my own heart (or am I a man after yours?)

Nice work Iain.
