photoblog image Deep in Snow

Deep in Snow

December 15 & 16 were the days of a big winter storm that moved through much of Southern Ontario dropping a great deal of snow. I took this on Monday the 17th while venturing out for lunch. This photo was taken facing north, up Bathurst Street at Queen Street.

I think I would have prefered this photo without the person in it but at the time I was just snapping away in the falling snow trying not to let my hands freeze. Composition wasn't forgotten but different options were not tried, I'll admit! :)

what I like most, is the b/w conversion, second all that snow, what were you saying about a person in the composition? smile
great scene Iain well captured, love the b&w conversion and i find the person in the foreground adds to the scene, he looks lost in all them snow covered streetssmile
Great and impressive shot Lain. Good choice with B&W

I think the person holds the image, otherwise it would be the moving car on the left, which is going out of frame. As it is this chap lines up nicely with the posts.

It looks desperately cold, I'd read about the storms, but this sort of brings home to me how bad it is. You take care, and enjoy your Christmas. smile
