Cavalcade II

Cavalcade of Lights Series - "Cavalcade II"
Shannon and I had the chance to go and see the opening ceremonies for the Calvalcade of Lights on November 24th. I got a few nice fireworks photos and one of the rink. The next few days will be dedicated to sharing these photos with you all.  You are looking at Toronto City Hall.

About Cavalcade (from the City of Toronto website):
The 41st annual Cavalcade of Lights sets Toronto aglow with a month-long calendar of spellbinding events including spectacular fireworks, sparkling lighting displays and a one-of-a-kind holiday tour
of Toronto's picturesque neighbourhoods.

The smoke trails look almost like a cross between ostrich feathers and pampas grass heads. They're magnificent.
Iain Myrans: Hi Ellie, thanks for the comment. I think of the 4 or 5 photos in the series this is my personal favourite (possibly the last image in the series coming up in a few days). Since you also shoot on an Oly I highly recommend you take a tripod with you next time there are fireworks and use your camera's 'Fireworks' Scene Mode. It is brilliant!

P.S. Anyone reading this here, check out Ellie's amazing architectural collages she's done in the last few days. They're magnificent!

Great sight . Well presented
I planned to say exactly what Ginnie has said. She even used the same type of feathers and grass. I can add that as a Canadian I see lots of photos of To's city hall but never as festive as this.

Absolutely wonderful! I love fireworks, and I love the glowing green building. (:o)
