photoblog image En Route to Sparrow Lake

En Route to Sparrow Lake

Okay, one more as an encore....

Photos from the Trent Severn:
I had the opportunity to travel through the Trent Severn from Georgian Bay to Lake Simcoe at the end of September this year.  It is quite an experience and I highly recommend it as a fun and relaxing way to spend a few days if you're living in Ontario. More information on the historic waterway and canal system can be found here. The waterway is so "magnificent it has been named 'one of the finest interconnected systems of navigation in the world'.

About this photo:
The fall colours were coming out by this point in September and I just liked the view off the back of the boat as we slowly cruised through the canal En Route to Sparrow Lake.

All credit for colour goes to Olympus and Tiffien (Polarizer!)

Great colors, DOF and Composition. I like this very much.
Love the colour of the trees. The blue of the sky is super too

This is a lovely scene. The colours could be a bit brighter but thats a small nitpick
Fabulous photograph with such a calm, relaxing atmosphere. I think I could `chill` there! (:o)
Iain Myrans: And it is easy to 'chill' there I assure you wink hehe. Ya, it was a great trip. Thanks for commenting!

The colors are amazing. That fantastic blue sky reflected in the water framed by the greens and golds of the trees.

Lovely rich colors. Is it your PS work or the northern sun that is responsible for thes rich tones?
Iain Myrans: lol. I credit Olympus. The colours off their lenses and sensors are magnificent. The trade off is high-iso noise but I shoot most of my stuff in daylight so it has never been a problem. I did also use an on-camera circular polarizer. No post work has been done though.
beautiful shot just beautifulsmile
Iain Myrans: it's funny, I've had so many hits on this image. I almost didn't post it since I wasn't terribly thrilled by it! Thanks for your comment and thank you to everyone else who has commented too!
I see what you mean Iain - wow! This is lovely.

All credit for colour goes to ... AND don't forget mother nature!

(By the way - you were being followed!)
