Waiting for the Bridge
Photos from the Trent Severn:
had the opportunity to travel through the Trent Severn from Georgian
Bay to Lake Simcoe at the end of September this year. It is quite an
experience and I highly recommend it as a fun and relaxing way to spend
a few days if you're living in Ontario. More information on the
historic waterway and canal system can be found here. The waterway is so "magnificent it has been named 'one of the finest interconnected systems of navigation in the world'.
About this photo:
This is my last photo in the series on the Trent Severn. As we travelled towards Sparrow lake we had to wait for the rail bridge to swing open for us. After a blast of the horn the operator checks the train schedule and if all is clear opens the bridge for the boats to pass.
I hope you've enjoyed the series over the last 7 or 8 days. I know it's what I normally post but hopefully it was interesting and fun to look at :)
