photoblog image Flying High over Swift Rapids

Flying High over Swift Rapids

Photos from the Trent Severn:
I had the opportunity to travel through the Trent Severn from Georgian Bay to Lake Simcoe at the end of September this year.  It is quite an experience and I highly recommend it as a fun and relaxing way to spend a few days if you're living in Ontario. More information on the historic waterway and canal system can be found here. The waterway is so "magnificent it has been named 'one of the finest interconnected systems of navigation in the world'.

About this photo:
Yesterday's post showed the large doors of the Swift Rapids lock from below and here is the top of them (immediate foreground). It was early morning and I'd decided to get up and take some photos while the mist was still on the water. As the airplane flew over I grabbed my camera and tried to get off a shot  before it was out of sight and I think it worked :)

Very nice lock picture. The sky reflections in the still waters are beautyfull. The plane in the top left corner adds a nice touch

This looks very crisp. The plane is a nice finishing touch.
