In The Ravines
I was down In The Ravines the other afternoon. I decided to pack up my 35mm, my Oly DSLR, and my tripod and hop on my bike for a ride along the wonderful paths we have here in Toronto.
I wanted very much to extend the exposure time for this image to give the water a 'glassier' feel and without an ND filter I used my circular polarizer. This had the added effect of letting me cut the reflections right out of the water in the foreground while enhancing them in the background (I guess because of the different angles which the light was reflecting on). This ended up being shot at f14 (a very nice and sharp setting on my ZD 14-54mm) for two seconds.
Results like this -- right out of camera -- are why I love Olympus! Thank you Olympus!
