MaRS

This is the the atrium of the MaRS Discovery District which joins the many buildings forming the research centre together. There is this super-cool elevator that shoots up the wall (just behind and left of the camea) and out the skylight and suddenly you're running up in a shaft looking out of the building, it's really cool. Anyway, those things amuse me!

I caught this photo while out for the 'Doors Open Toronto' weekend, a weekend when hundreds of buildings normally closed to the public open their doors for guided and unguided tours. Toronto at this time of year is really an amazing place to be. There are so many festivals going on in may-june including 'Contact' the month long photography festival taking place accross Toronto, 'Doors Open', and 'Luminato' (festival of the arts).

I get this really weird feeling like i'm not standing straight up looking at this, I also get an odd feeling that I'm floating....

Yikes! Vertigo! Superb building though, aren't you lucky to have had the opportunity to see inside.
