photoblog image Getting a Dog

Getting a Dog

I shot this on a nice mild afternoon under rather harsh backlighting so I was pleased enough with the details and shadow I was able to pull out. I did a fair bit of post work on this in photoshop where i took the original image and made it a bottom layer and a copy of that image which was curved up to boost the midtones. I then burned down the dark areas again and then selectively erased the top layer to balance the exposures. More than anything i did it to see if i could rescue the detail and in the end I thought it might make a good blog shot.

I can never quite work out why 'they' sell veggy hot dogs, after al, hot dogs are some sort of meat. WHy not be original and call it something else, and make it look like something else too?

Haven't a clue why nobody else has said anything about this picture, maybe not many people around midweek ...
Iain Myrans: haha, perhaps. I think it's more likley that it's one of my less-interesting posts in a while. Tomorrow's not much more exciting wink

it has nothing to do with the photo, everyone is just weirded out by the fact that the girl has 2 heads, and one of them is a man!
