photoblog image Boat Ashore

Boat Ashore

A photo I took last summer while out with a family friend who is also a photographer. I only just did the post work now as I look forward to the summer months at Georgian Bay again.  We were boating by this island and noticed an old boat up on the shore and I thought it would bake for a nice photo. Let me know what you think of the soft effect please :)

I have no holidays left. You are taking me places with this one. Good on you
I think I would prefer it sharp but it is nice to play with (or see) other effects. It makes me wonder if the owner actually put the boat that way purposely. It seems like such an odd angle.
Iain Myrans: I'd imagine they did. They probably just hopped out onto the shore for a short while to look around. I agree -- when i uploaded it and the file got smaller it didn't look as good. When it's full-screen you can see that the background is soft but the boat is sharp and it pulls your eye in. Here, that effect gets lost. sad Thanks for the comment!

That's nice, what a great place for a picnic! smile It would be good too, to have a boat like that one, but I'll make do with the picture.

S/C imps at it again, it's happened to me too with something that was good and sharp before uploading. Haven't a clue why it happens.
