History Today

Okay, so I'm just posting this for fun. I was playing with some of the artistic filters in photoshop in this shot to give it a somewhat old & historic effect. I'm not sure how successful I've been but I think it's alrighty at any rate. It's been very cold so i've not made it out around the city with my camera. I'm looking forward to April and May as it gets warmer again!

I like the filters you've used, SL. It does have an old, historical look to it.
Hey, I was out driving last night, I found somewhere we need to go in the evening to shoot... It's not historic, and has nothing to do with this photo at all, but I figured this was as good a place as any to tell you.

nice urban shot, I like.
Interesting perspective and lines
Iain Myrans: Thanks smile I pulled everything up and inward with the lens correction tool and then crushed it flatter with the transform tools in PS. smile

Well, I suppose the cars look vaguely modern, but the rest of the picture does seem as if it could date from any time over the last fifty years or so. I like what you've done. smile
