Lunchtime

Some pigeons and a squirrel enjoying their lunch in the snow as I wandered down the way to have lunch myself.  I do like how colourful these guys are :) I took this at about 110mm (220mm equiv. @ 2x) at at f/2.9 to keep the focus on the front bird (and also to keep the shutter speed up since I was in the shade.

Nice. I really like what you've done, and appreciate the explanation. Have you thought of raising the ISO to force an faster shutterspeed?

The squirrel looks like a marauder!
Iain Myrans: Hi Ellie, yes, often I do but one of the problems with the Olympus is that when you shoot at a higher ISO you do notice it. In this shot I was happy though, I wanted the shallow DOF. smile As always thanks for the comment. I'm a bit swamped right now so I havn't been visiting many blogs in the last few days. I"ll be back though! smile
