Backstage: Pre-show in the Isabel Bader Theatre Control Room
Well this takes me back about a year now. I used to work at the Isabel Bader Theatre. As a building, it is an amazing multi-use space: live-production, cinema, conference hosting, you name it. I do miss it and the other tech/foh staff there. I was one of the original technical staff who opened the theatre and I was the head electrician & assistant lighting designer for the Opening Gala.
No, that's not me in the photo -- I'm the one taking it. It's not a super shot but it's a small (and cluttered!) room and getting a good shot in it is a hard thing to do! I'm a bit desperate for photos these days! lol.
Oh, those big grey things are actually 35mm film projectors, not followspots.
An old blog posting of mine showing the stage as it would be set up for Cinema rather than Theatre: click here.
Shot with my old Olympus C-7070 P&S.
