photoblog image A Back Bay Evening.

A Back Bay Evening.

I was walking along the shoreline of Boston's Back Bay when the moon caught my eye as it started to peek out from behind this building. I set up to capture some of the trees on either side in the frame and shot away. The contrast between the foreground buildings and the skyscraper (which is quite a distance beyond) was huge. I have not had a chance to properly post process this photo and I will come back to it and start from scratch from the original RAW file but I still really quite like this version so I thought I'd share it with you all. :)

I am really liking this capture, in my book a very very good candidiate for HDR.

Iain Myrans: Yes, it probably would have been but sadly, i only shot the one frame from here and it was handheld.

Love the contrast! And not just colour contrasts... the contrast in the building and the more tinier houses up front... I'm with Suby. It would pass as a HDR shot smile Good work on the PP!

Lovin' it, Sparky! I really like the moon playing peek-a-boo behind the building.
