Pink Sky Skyline

Harbourfront Fog Series

Toronto Harbourfront on a rainy and foggy evening on August 19, 2006. The rooftop lighting on the SkyDome sent a purple-pink hue up into the fog around both it and the CN Tower as the boats float in a marina on Toronto's Waterfront.

Click 'here' to see a map of where this image was taken. Again this is a very old image of the waterfront that google has on their site despite the fact is says the map is copyright 2006.

I love this one! I love the colours and the composition and the way the Skydome is lit up like that. The boats at the front make it a more unusual (and charming) Toronto-by-night photo... I love it, Sparklite!
Iain Myrans: Thanks smile I'm a big fan of this shot -- it's my favourite of the series and that's why I've chosen to end with it. Yes, this is the last in the Harbourfront Fog Series. I shot a few different exposures and I think this was the nicest of the set. It's not an angle you see the skyline from normally I guess.

lovely shot Iain! great composition, with the harbor, the CN tower (?)... its like capturing the lowest+highest points within range.
Iain Myrans: Yeppers. CN Tower. I didn't think of that -- highest and lowest points. It's a miricle I didn't need a wider lense! Actually it really is. That was at 14mm (x2 crop) which is the widest I can go and I've filled the frame. HaI never thought about that smile Thanks for the comment.

Actually I almost can see my house from here.. I think.. that little dot of light in there, between the two towers on the left side.. just above the skydome... I think that's the building beside me...
