photoblog image Freedom Arches

Freedom Arches

A Clean and Beautiful City  flower installment at Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto City Hall. Old City hall is in the distance beyond the Freedom Arches. Sadly the fountain was off for maintenance at the tme but the sunlight at 6pm yesterday when I took this photograph  was peftect August evening sunlight. A nice warm light at a good angle. :)

PP: None. Straight out of the camera.

Okay, lets see if I can scare everyone away this time...

See really this is not Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto... It's the gardens outside GCCCCC HQ (to the left of the camera... easy to tell which one it is since it has the UFO shaped escape pod in the centre between the two main buildings). The trees in the foreground are really space palms, the arches are moon jumping training rigs, and the building behind them is the Galactic Cow passport offices. Beyond that the two glass towers are the HQ of GCSCPS (the one on the left) and the BPC (on the right). Nice try with trying to trick us all into thinking it's "earth" but sorry buddy... it's clearly not...

Iain Myrans: VV might be telling the truth! Look! There is a saucer to the left of the fountains! http://sparklite.shutterchance.com/photoblog/4230.htm

P.S. How is it possible this was a 'notable comment' wink

Oh my stars and garters, this one is good. I really love that sky. It almost looks as if it was a background that you pasted the cityscape over. So much to see in this one. I love it.
Iain Myrans: Nope. Real sky through and through.
hey sl,

you have yourself an amazing shot here. this is picture perfect. the colors, light, tone, sky, atmosphere. everything is so crisp and vivid. a really spectacular capture.
Iain Myrans: The clouds int he sky really help. Tomorrow's shot (taken the same day -- yesterday) also emphasises the clouds and the nice tone of light we get in August-September smile Thanks for the comment!

Sparky is on to a stonker here. Good one gorl,. It's one of those images that you have soo much going on in it that thats what makes it such an interesting shot.

I'm liking the image the more I look at it.

Keep looking at this one and liking it even more. It is just so darn vivid.

I can answer notable comment question too. A comment is made notable not by what it says but rather by how much it say. Therefore VV tends to make notable comments out of sheer verbosity. Its not that he has really anything to say but rather has a lot of it.smile
