Pointe Au Baril Lighthouse at Sunset II

This is a second version of the Pointe Au Baril Lighthouse. I posted another version from another trip north a few months ago (here). I like this one more for the white balance although the blue tones in the other image were nice too. What do you like more? :)

hey sparklite,

terrific shot. i absolutely love the colors in this shot. i love the way that the sun is blazing and the reflection in the water. i like the contrast between the orange tones and the white lighthouse. really well done!
Iain Myrans: Thanks Nicole smile To be honest it's much more beautiful in real-life. I shot that while floating in a boat. We waited there as the sun went down to capture the right moment for photographs. I like that you mentioned 'the white lighthouse' since i wasn't sure if i liked colourbalancing to it or emphasising the blue more. This was the more realistic colour so I'm glad you like it.

This is a really cool shot, like the sharpness of the house.

The other one was good but this one is incredible. Love the almost sillohuette and the vivid orange of the sky.

And you said *I* capture great colours tongue this is mind-blowing. Really. The contrast, the sharpness, the calmness that you feel when viewing a setting sun over the sea/horizon is very nice. Me like smile

Your previous entry of the sun is more...what's the word... non-gripping? The attention in that one goes straight to the house, while in this one you tend to look at the shot as a whole. You've done a great job in capturing something MORE in this shot, and the perfect moment. Cheers!
