Strike

I took this last night during a thunderstorm here in Toronto. I was hoping for a better shot but I didn't think to set up my camera until the storm was dying out. It's the only frame I caught with lighting in it. Next time we have a storm I promise better! It's not spectacular, but it's still lighting. Did anyone see the cover of the toronto star? THAT is a cool photo -- with lighting crashing down all around and hitting the CN Tower and what not. VV - Post that link to the front page ! :)

shutterchance jpeg compression nightmares again :(   Somedays it's great, other days it's bad. What am i doing that causes this! I save them all at level 12 in photoshop!?

Here's that link sparklite wanted me to post... It's a PDF of the front page of the newspaper, just so we are all clear, i take no responsibility for it being slow, or messing up internet explorer...

I just noticed this shot goes with your name "Sparklite" tongue

I won't lie to ya, I love this shot. One, because I never and ever have been able to capture lightening & all my tries have been in vain *sigh* And secondly, the composition of this one is so simple and clear smile it's a gorgeous shot when it comes to night photography.

Cheers!

ps. as compared to the one published in the papers (the one I saw from the link provided by Visual Vault), lets say you're is dramatic in a simple sort of way and that one in the paper is simple in a dramatic sort of way. If that makes sense smile lol
Iain Myrans: Thanks Mia smile I hadn't thought of the 'sparklite' connection. smile Thanks for pointing that out! Thank you also for the nice comment!
