A subway tears out from the platform of an outdoor station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

PP: Lots! Um... Saturation tweaks to take out all colours but yellow. Removed yellow tint from lights. Added diffusoin. Took the original colour image and did a 'median' filter at 20px to remove detail but preserve colour. Blurred that layer, droped it in, blended 'colour' applied it at 10 percent.

Love the motion in this shot. I have tried and tried with no success to get the same type of shot on the DC Metro with no success. Except I've been trying underground. Oh well, I'll keep trying. Really like this shot and the processing. It's another one that I like on the gut level.
this is a great shot. the blurred motion is awesome. i too have been trying to capture the motion of a train in nyc, but to no avail. i also like the pp that you used on the platform. the yellow of the platform adds a great contrast to the tracks and the train. one thing that i do not like is the color of the background behind the train. it is too light, and kind of looks like a continuation of the train.
Iain Myrans: Yea, fair point. I see what you mean. Thanks for the comment.
grin im jelous!!! I love how the yellows are so prominant...arrrghhhhh, really really nice!!!
Hey look, you got a 'three' contest named after you for 2 weeks from now!! I'm going to have to post a 3 on my blog at the same time just for fun....

You and your diffuse glow filter... I would have done less glow on the area above the train, keep it a little sharper so the train stands out a bit more.. I like it tho, I have a few shots in osgoode and st. andrews stations like this, only not outdoors (since those stations are underground, duh!) and on more of an angle with the train coming towards me.. and come to think of it, they are nothing like this.. they are also in colour, since i didn't do any 'special editing' on them yet... smile
