Tall

This building is still under construction and will be one of the tallest residential building in Toronto when it's complete. I love the building and it's location so I thought I'd share this architectural shot with you all. I was experimenting with angles and I think that this was my favourite.

this is a really cool shot. i have a particular fondness for architecture, so i really appreciate this shot. i love the color of the windows and how they fade from dark to lighter blue. if i could make one suggestion, i would recommend cloning out the leaves. they detract from an otherwise clean, crisp shot.

oh!..yes! I can see someone playing a cello in one of the flats! smile

....Cool shot anyway...Would it have been possible to capture the whole length? Having mentioned its height, I now feel like seeing the whole thing.
Iain Myrans: It is still under construction. It was only at about 45 floors when I took this and they're still building up. There can't be a cellist in there! Not unless they're friends of someone ont he construction crew who was giving them rehersal space in an unfinished building! wink

I don't see the cellist but I do see the naked fat man in the fifteenth floor window second from the right. How can you put such a vulgar display on this family oriented site. I am so dissappointed.

That aside I like the patterns and as for the leaves I like 'em where they are gives it some depth
Iain Myrans: Thanks smile I like the leaves too - I thought it was nice to break up the shot a bit with them. smile I also just liked the green.

I really do like the shrp contrast of this shot. I may have prefered it withought the shrubry, but then again I may not have. All in all a good shot.

Alert, I believe it is time to closely watch the work of Beaker St. I believe he might be on the verge of a new rule for the handbook. Please refer to the following photos:

I believe that this pattern bears watching. The authorities have now been alerted.

Please do not feed the bears.

nice composition, I will be nice if it had more perspective.... very strong colours on the windows! did you work on the windows at all
Iain Myrans: Can you define 'more perspective'? I intentionally kept the frame narrow. As I said the building wasn't done so to shoot higher would make for a very different (frankly boring) picture. Thanks for the comment smile
For those of you interested in more info about this building, look here: http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=101448

and just to show up sparklite's jumbo tower, there's a taller residential tower planned in Toronto as well, you can see it here:
