I love how cog like the top wheel is thanks for the use of shadows. It's interesting that the juxtoposition of shiny hubs to the rusty rims and other junk yard items.
Iain Myrans: Thanks Drew, I took this at a good time of day. The sun was quite low in the sky which really helped with the lighting. smile

Like the composition in this one. And the detail. I can why the tires were discarded all the cracks in the sidewall. I keep looking at it to figure out exactly what it is I like about but can't figure it out. I just know I like it.
Iain Myrans: Thanks smile I like it too. I have another cool one i'll post soon from the same area at the same time.
very simple and interesting shot. have you considered converting it to black and white or sepia? i think that the conversion would add to the old, rustic look.
Iain Myrans: No but I should try. If i do I'll repost it for all to see smile

It is an eyecatching picture..like IMM I find it hard to say why...It may be because it's very sharp and focussed and the contrast between the shiny chrome and matt rubber works for me...but perhaps it's because you may have moved from threes to twos??
Iain Myrans: I'm sure visualvault can find some threes ... that is if he ever came by anymore sad

I like the sharpness and focusus of this shot. It's not easy to make images like these look interesting or good. You have done an excelent job.

Suby
Iain Myrans: Suby, I feel honoured wink

agree with suby, this is a shot that 100 people take and one gets right. You did it... very nice

Ah, another sparklite masterpiece. This shot is clearly an exploration into the duality of man. The two tires represent our good and evil natures (rusty and not rusty). Where am I going with this? Ya know.. for once I have no idea... Perhaps Sparklite is working on a new rule, the rule of two... I know this sounds revolutionary... Groundbreaking even.. but we must not underestimate the grand master or his work. There must be more to this simple image than meets the eye. Stunning, Briliant, Perplexing, Shocking are just some of the words that come to mind about what sparklite must be doing. I'm sure he'll recieve a pulitzer prize (yes yes, i know it's a picture... shush!) for his work.
