photoblog image Stop Walking

Stop Walking

Intentionally motion blurred. I shot this one evening at dusk while crossing the road on a blinking hand. I'm not sure how much I like or or how much you'll like it but i'm on a string of slightly unusual/off style photos so I thought I'd share this with you :)

As per matt's request yesterday, there are three main themes in this image: the signal, the sky, and the street sign. ;)

Ah but you see, sparklite has used the art of deception here.. He is drawing our attention away from the three true themes and leading us down the path of mayhem and confusion.. mwah ha ha ha ha... *cough*... anyways... The secret lies not in the obvious themes, but in the subliminal themes.. Art is about interpritation, not about the image, how else do you think some 'artists' manage to sell a red line on a black canvas for $100,000! (and damn do i wish i could bullsh*t a motive well enough to sucker someone into paying that much money for basically nothing.... See Sparklite has actually captured three very different themes here.. we have 'the hand', symbolizing 'the man' and his forceful repression of all of us, keeping us down, telling us when we can 'cross the street'... making us all slaves to his signs and signals.. i saw we rise up and fight the power! take back the streets that are rightfully ours! Are you with me!!!!?

(note: the other two themes are unimportant at this time as they do not aid the cause of the revolution and only seek to supress our uprising. They will be expunged in less than 24 hours.. move along.. nothing to see here...)

Iain Myrans: I've been to Duck duck duck duck GOOSE! before! It's a great place. winkThanks for the crazy comment as always wink
Viva la revolucion!!!!!! Actually I was referring to to the upcoming Shutterchance theme that was briefly shown on the members listing page yesterday but seems to have taken down. It was the announcing the theme THREE in honour of Sparklite but maybe I was hallucinating or they decided not to do it. Probably not to do it because I can think of much better things to hallucinate one time I actually saw the face of my friends cat change into the face of a woman. Weird thing is that he was a male cat. But I digress. As always love the vivid colors, OLYMPUS ROCKS!!! but not really feeling the motion blur thing.
