photoblog image Window Shades

Window Shades

Taken July 2. This building is located on the York University campus north of the main theatre arts building. These are window shades that extend from the exterior of the building. I enjoy this kind of architecture since it lets me be a bit creative with angles and contrast. Shutterchance's compression/sharppenging has made some lines a bit jagged but you'll get the idea :)

The rule of threes? smile

Love this shot, love the way the sun shines on the building

Suby
Well done you are now breaking the "Rule of Threes" I cannot a single three or multiple thereof in this shot. Shuu\tterspeed 1/800, Check; aperture 5.0, Check; ISO 200, Check; focal length 50 mm, Check. It looks good from here. You have finally done you have overcome the limitations placed upon you by silly rules. Now you are ready to move on to the next rule, "Barb's rule of Cows". We don't know what it is yet VV hasn't written it but it will make for a nice wiki entry.

Oh yes, cool shot. You have a great eye for the abstract. Lotsa diagonals.
Just a quick comment right now.. I'll be posting properly later... but Matt.. you missed something... take all those numbers.. add them together.. keep adding until you get down to one digit...

shutter + aperture + iso + focal =
1+800 + 5 + 200 + 50 = 1,056
1 + 0 + 5 + 6 = 12
1 + 2 = 3

OMG! IMPOSSIBLE!!!! THERE'S NO WAY SPARKLITE CAN AVOID IT!!!! MWAH HA HA HA HA!!! wink
Anyways, more on that, and the cows a bit later... (And suby apparently hasen't been reading the collective plan to rule shutterchance and install sparklite as the leader of the universe... or he just hasen't been reading sparklite's blog for the last month or so.... oh welll, his loss wink )
