Lighttrails

I've been promising in my various blog comments to other folks who've been posting light trails that I too would join the fun and post one. Of course I said I'd do it last week but I ran out of HD space and couldn't copy files off my camera for a while. Here's a shot I quite liked, in an abstract way. I hope you do too!

Cool shot... What did you do to make this?
Iain Myrans: I attempted to adjust zoom so as to keep the car the same size in my frame as it passed and drove away. It was a taxi cab -- hence the white streak. This means different points in the frame will distort differently. I shot in 'portrait format' (i.e. tall frame) and rolled it on its side since I thought it would make it more 'abstract' and seem less like a car driving by.
Cool shot man. saw it last nite and was gonna ask how you did it but you have already answered.
