photoblog image City Gulls

City Gulls

Okay, It's time for just a light and fun photograph. I shot this on June 10th 2006 in the afternoon down near Toronto City Hall. I like bird photos and I don't have the lenses for any real bird-photography so I make do with seagulls now and then since they don't fly away when you get close. Enjoy :)

PP: Highlight Detail Restore (forgot my camera was at +.3EV so I had to do a bit of a highlight touchup).

This was taken at the same place as is shown in this image, but shot a few days later.

I think I prefer this.
Nice capture and you got eye contact. My son likes to feed the gulls out in front of the Capitol reflecting pool. The catch the food right out of the air.
nice shot! maybe you could try cropping the left bird in the foreground away for a tighter composition? smile
Sparklite,

I am going to have to respectfully decline to comment on this image, due to the fact that it contains no pigeons. If you happen to re-shoot it with pigeons then I could make one of my long winded comments about how the bird in the foreground is mildly disturbed by the fact that you are pointing a camera at him and stealing his soul, i mean seriously, look at his face, he does not look like a happy bird. the depth of emotion locked away in there is amazing! But again, he's not a pigeon so I can't say any of this, it's sad really, it's such a great shot, but you put the talent in the wrong outfits! smile
