Toronto City Hall & Square

A Beautiful day at city hall taken two weekends ago while I was out geocaching around the city. City Hall is on the far left and one tower has been excluded from the frame so as to get the fountain and arches. There are actually two towers that face out to the square and down on the council chamber dome (white roof at the far left). In the winter the fountain is used as an ice rink. Wednesdays are market day at the square and people from all over the city come here (in the heart of downtown) to shop for fruits, vegitables, and other items. It is arguably the most popular and well functioning public square in the city. It is also home to Canda's biggest New Years Eve bash when thousands crowd in the way-below zero tempreatures (usually!) to watch people perform on a big stage, count down the clock, and watch fireworks let off from the top of city hall. I'm working on a project this summer in conjunction with the city and will be visiting the east tower of City Hall on and off.

PP: Hue adjust on the yellow channel to boost the green in the trees. RGB Curves. And that's all folks. :)

Iain.

P.S. I love Olympus' Dynamic range and colour ! :)

Lovely capture. It looks like you stole the sky right out of my photo for the day. And yes I do love the Olympus range and color.
