photoblog image The World's Tallest Building

The World's Tallest Building

This is a close up of the lower observation decks, restaurant level, skypod (world's highest man-made lookout -- small circular structure above the main observation levels and about a third down from the top of the image), and antenna levels of the CN Tower. (CN=Canadian National [Railways]). The building is 1,815 feet tall and was completed in 1975. It has held the record for the tallest building in the world for over 30 years and is located in downtown Toronto.

PP: Curves, Red Saturation Boost.

Great capture of one of my sons favorite buildings. He likes tall buildings and tall mountains. He thinks that the CN should be on Olympus Mons (Tallest Mountain in the solar system) He has an interesting sense of what goes together.

The CN Tower is not the tallest building in the world. It is classified as the tallest man made structure, not the tallest building. The Taipei 101 in Taipei, Taiwan holds that title.
Iain Myrans: okay.. true. it is a building and people do use it - a nice restauraunt, a bar, entertainment facilitities. Granted its not an office building or a residential structure. It's not just a tall spike - it has its uses so i'm not sure how they come up with the different classifications but fine, it's the tallest man made structure(can you have a non man-made 'structure'?)
